Join the Maine Read to Feed Challenge!
Scholastic and Heifer International are teaming with Maine First Lady, Mrs. Karen Baldacci, in an exciting partnership-the Maine Read to Feed Challenge! Beginning September 1, 2005 and lasting through June 30, 2006, elementary teachers and students across the Pine Tree State will be taking up the Read to Feed Challenge. Teachers and students will be giving the gift of self reliance to families in need, and each participating student will also receive a book from Scholastic! First Lady Karen Baldacci will promote the Challenge at 3 kickoff rallies around the state. What is Read to Feed? Learn more about the Read to Feed program.
